Junior Research Fellow (JRF) In A Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) Sponsored Project

Job Description
Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) sponsored project, “Predicting and preventing aeroelastic flutter using the concepts of synchronization and amplitude death”, under the Principal Investigator, Dr. J Venkatramani, Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, Shiv Nadar University, Dadri, Gautam Buddha Nagar (U.P.), INDIA. The position is temporary and
is available immediately. The candidate may be allowed to register for PhD in the University. Essential qualification: M.Tech/ME in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent field. Candidates awaiting the award of a post graduate degree may also be suitably considered.

Desirable: Candidates having strong fundamentals in Aeroelasticity, Nonlinear Dynamics, Stall Flutter, with Experimental and Computer Programming skills are desired.

Fellowship: JRF will get Rs 31,000/- pm (Fixed) until the completion of the project (December 2021).

Duration of Project: Six months commencing from June 1, 2021 (purely temporary).

Project Description: The project aims to obtain experimental insights into the Aeroelastic flutter under dynamic stall conditions which will be used to compare and develop a numerical model for different flow regimes and develop precursors/design a control mechanism to suppress the stall flutter using the concepts of synchronization and amplitude death. Applications with complete bio-data (with details of qualification i.e. examination passed, year, division, the percentage of marks from 10th board onwards, including work experience) should be sent by email to j.venkatramani@snu.edu.in by May 3, 2021. Short-listed candidates will be called for the online interview via G-meet or MS Teams. General Information about SNU
